Medley opens in Johns Creek with its office space already 100% leased

If you've been waiting for Johns Creek to get a downtown, is here. It opened Oct. 29 on the former State Farm campus. The first phase of the $560 million project has 145,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, 340 rental homes, 133 for-purchase townhomes and a 25,000-square-foot plaza.

The big number is on the office side. Toro Development Company says the office space is 100% leased, the first project in metro Atlanta to open fully leased in more than a decade. North Fulton's Class A office vacancy is approximately 31%, with Johns Creek at 18%, according to Stream Realty Partners.

Tax relief

Gov. Brian Kemp announced Monday that the state is sending property tax relief funds to local governments this week. The one-time Homeowner Tax Relief Grant cuts the assessed value of qualifying homes by $18,000, which is not an $18,000 tax cut, and it shows up on your 2026 property tax bill instead of arriving as a check. FOUND KITTENS

“Does anyone recognize these kittens? My brother found three of these little guys outside of our house yesterday morning. Only managed to grab two of them. They look to be about 6-8 weeks old and seem healthy. Both are very curious and playful with each other but anxious around people. The gray one is a girl, not sure…”

The Wrap

Cool mornings, warm evenings and orange leaves don't hang around long in Georgia, so the AJC rounded up 13 patios for fall dining around metro Atlanta. Roswell's Tipsy Thaiger made the list, with plenty of seating and string lights to set the fall vibe. Pass the pad thai.
