- ➤ Robert Aaron Long, 25 and accused in the 2021 spa shootings that killed eight people in metro Atlanta, appeared in a Fulton County courtroom for a week of hearings that began September 8 — he faces 19 charges including felony murder and domestic terrorism while District Attorney Fani Willis said she will seek the death penalty. - ➤ On Sept. 8, the City of Roswell held its first City Council meeting at City Hall—38 Hill St—to consider a 2025 property tax rate of 4.949 mills and to review a bond resolution for up to $25 million to finance the Hill Street Parking deck, which broke ground on Aug. 7. Appen Media

- ➤ The Braves beat the Cubs by four to one on Monday night as Ozzie Albies and Matt Olson hit home runs while Bryce Elder pitched six and one third innings, and the Cubs lost their fourth game in five games.
