- ➤ Camp Kingfisher at Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell hosted kids on July 8 who hiked, canoed, swam, and did crafts on 127 wooded acres along the Chattahoochee River—this long-time summer camp program remains popular with families. FOX 5 Atlanta
- ➤ Fulton County Animal Services is asking local residents to become foster parents to care for animals until they find permanent homes—the program offers a chance to help pets in need. WSB-TV
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Roswell, Keep Roswell Beautiful, Fulton County, and the City of Alpharetta will host a free rain barrel workshop at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building on July 12 from 10 to 11 a.m. Attendees will learn hands-on how to set up a rain collection system and each household will receive one free rain barrel kit—registration is required.
