Camp Kingfisher at Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell hosted kids on July 8 who hiked, canoed, swam, and did crafts on 127 wooded acres along the Chattahoochee River—this long-time summer camp program remains popular with families.

Fulton County Animal Services is asking local residents to become foster parents to care for animals until they find permanent homes—the program offers a chance to help pets in need.

The City of Roswell, Keep Roswell Beautiful, Fulton County, and the City of Alpharetta will host a free rain barrel workshop at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building on July 12 from 10 to 11 a.m. Attendees will learn hands-on how to set up a rain collection system and each household will receive one free rain barrel kit—registration is required.
