About this event
Across Georgia and the nation, men are increasingly falling behind in educational attainment and are less likely to enroll in, and complete postsecondary education. At the same time, many men are disconnected from the workforce, creating challenges not only for individuals and families, but also for Georgia’s long term workforce and economic development goals. Addressing this growing gap will require educators, employers, policymakers, community leaders, and philanthropy to consider new approaches to connecting men to education, credentials, and meaningful work.
On behalf of College Promise , NISS at Georgia State University , and Achieve Atlanta , we invite you to join a cross-sector group of Georgia leaders for a conversation about how we can strengthen pathways to postsecondary completion and workforce opportunity for men across your state.
Seen, Supported, and Successful: Advancing Male Mobility and Postsecondary Completion in Georgia
November 9, 2026 | 9:00 AM–12:30 PM
National Institute for Student Success (NISS), Georgia State University
Hosted by College Promise in partnership with the National Institute for Student Success (NISS) at Georgia State University and Achieve Atlanta, this convening will bring together leaders from education, workforce, government, philanthropy, business, and community organizations to examine the Georgia context and consider opportunities for action.
Together, we will consider questions such as:
• Where are men disconnecting from education and work, and what is contributing to those gaps? • What approaches, tools, and partnerships show promise for reconnecting men to postsecondary education and opportunity? • How can education and workforce systems better align their efforts? • What institutional, policy, funding, and partnership infrastructure would be needed to move promising ideas into action? • What is one opportunity Georgia should prioritize over the next 12–24 months?
We hope you will join us and bring your perspective to this important conversation. Your voice will help inform how we think about the opportunities, partnerships, and strategies needed to advance male mobility and postsecondary completion across Georgia.
Please RSVP by Monday, October 26, using this link . The event is free, but space is limited. The full agenda will be made available upon registration.
We look forward to being together in Atlanta on November 9!
