- ➤ Nissan announced on October 6th that it is recalling 19,000 LEAF electric vehicles due to the risk that their lithium-ion batteries may overheat during Level 3 charging. Roswell residents who own a LEAF are advised to contact their local dealership for inspection and further instructions. WSB-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Fulton County and the Department of Registration and Elections are hosting National Voter Education Week—running from October 6 to October 10—to boost voter registration and education. The county urges residents to check registration at library branches, online, or in-person as early voting for local elections begins on October 14. Fulton County
- ➤ Commissioner Mo Ivory will host a Mo Knows Town Hall event on Tuesday, October 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the historic Plaza Theatre on Ponce de Leon Avenue—community members will hear updates on county initiatives and share their concerns. Fulton County
- ➤ The Roswell Police Department has begun working out of its new headquarters on Holcomb Bridge Road — 95% of the department has moved there to be closer to calls, Chief James Conroy said.
