- ➤ The city of Roswell began demolishing five unsafe structures at Leita Thompson Memorial Park and the Bowen/Highway 92 property on September 17 to protect residents. The $238,315 project—approved by the mayor and council on June 24—will remove storm-damaged and hazardous buildings using insurance funds and Parks Capital Improvement Project money. WSB-TV
