On September 11, communities across Georgia held memorial events to honor the victims of 9/11—Roswell residents participated in local services as part of a statewide remembrance.

WSB-TV Channel 2 will air a 30-minute special titled Celebrating Hispanic Heritage at 7 p.m. on September 14, with anchors Wendy Corona and Jorge Estevez (presenting stories and traditions that showcase the vibrant culture).

The Northern Ridge Boy Scout District (including Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and Milton) announced its newest Eagle Scouts who completed their Eagle Board of Review on August 28 at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church.

The scouts earned their rank by carrying out projects such as building benches, installing a Little Library, and constructing a bike trail.

Fulton County will run its Fulton Fresh Mobile Market from September 23 through October 9 to offer fresh fruits, vegetables, and nutrition education at centers in Union City, Atlanta, East Point, and College Park—visitors can arrive 10 minutes early to receive a bag of produce.
