- ➤ Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington said Wednesday he will not support GOP nominees because four affirmative votes are required by law + the GOP filed a lawsuit after two nominees, Julie Adams and Jason Frazier, failed to get approval. He explained that nominations and appointments are separate processes and urged the party to submit new names in line with county rules. FOX 5 Atlanta
- ➤ Georgia is accepting applications for its second Outdoors Beyond Barriers adaptive hunting program that offers eight hunts on public lands—seven deer hunts and one dove hunt—with a courtesy license allowing seven days of participation without an extra license; the deadline to apply is Sept 10. The program removes obstacles for mobility‐impaired hunters so they can safely connect with nature. WSB-TV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Georgia Department of Public Health said it is waiting on CDC guidance for updated COVID shots and will resume vaccine use only after the advisory committee meets on Sept. 18 and 19—until then, providers must destroy any unused 2024-2025 stock.
