- ➤ Former NFL player Darryl Skrine was arrested in Roswell on Wednesday for allegedly stealing $300,000 from three women he met on dating apps—he reportedly used the funds for travel and short-term rentals instead of repaying them as promised through his NFL annuity and is also wanted in Canada for bank fraud. - ➤ The holiday weekend offers many festivals, concerts and sports events in Atlanta and nearby areas, including the Festival of the Painted Rock at Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell on Sept. 1 for $65.
