- ➤ Fulton County Commissioner Bridget Thorne was named to NACo’s International Economic Development Innovation Council — and to the Large Urban County Caucus Steering Committee, where she will represent Fulton County and guide national economic policies. She received the appointment notification last month and will work with county leaders across the nation to exchange resources and address policy issues. Fulton County
- ➤ Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington Jr. was appointed to the NACo Arts and Culture Innovation Council and the Justice and Public Safety Steering Committee—confirmed last month—and he will work with national leaders to use the arts to boost economic development and improve public safety. - ➤ Fulton County’s Board of Commissioners voted 6—1 on Aug. 6 to keep the property tax rate at 8.87 mills after several hours of debate, with public opposition to a tax increase and updated revenue projections driving the decision.
