- ➤ Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted six to one on Wednesday to keep the property tax rate at 8.87 mills, avoiding a proposed 12.49% increase for 2025. - ➤ Former Roswell leaders say city officials did not share details about construction at a historic site—raising questions about the planning process—and the officials have not provided further comments. WSB-TV
- ➤ The Georgia Department of Revenue has issued $1,006,766,461.54 in special tax refunds to 3 million eligible taxpayers, covering over 90% of the anticipated refunds under House Bill 112. Taxpayers who filed 2023 and 2024 returns and meet the criteria will receive a one-time refund ranging from $250 to $500, with some refunds scheduled for October—pending further eligibility checks.
