- ➤ Roswell Police are investigating a grand theft auto after a 54-year-old Kennesaw woman reported her white 2021 Porsche Cayenne, valued at $70,000, was stolen from the Wood Creek apartments on July 29—an officer said it was last seen on Covington Highway at about 5:30 a.m. Appen Media
- ➤ A new FBI report shows that violent crime decreased by 10.5% in Georgia in 2024 and property crimes fell by 9.8%, with homicides dropping 5% as federal, state, and local law enforcement worked together to lower crime. FOX 5 Atlanta
- ➤ Roswell Police arrested a 26-year-old Lawrenceville woman on July 27 after a traffic stop at Holcomb Bridge and Barnwell roads revealed over 4 ounces of marijuana, THC oil cartridges, vape pens, nearly $1,000 in cash, and a weight scale, and she now faces charges including felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute — her passenger said he was unaware of the items. - ➤ The U.S. DOT said Georgia will receive up to $3.8 billion to add express lanes on a 16-mile part of Georgia 400—GDOT, the state roads group, and Peach Partners will work together and invest $75 million in bus upgrades that are expected to save Atlanta drivers 15 minutes each day.
