CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ On August 16 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., children between 6 and 11 will participate in a free hands-on history event at Bulloch Hall in Roswell where they will handle historical kitchen tools, roll dough, cut cookies and try ironing as done in the mid-19th century—the event is hosted by Roswell’s Historic House Museums and the City of Roswell and will also include a tour of the historic house and grounds. - ➤ Roswell city officials announced that construction on a new parking deck will begin in just days + the project is designed to relieve parking congestion downtown. The project will add capacity to meet growing demand and support local businesses + officials said. WSB-TV
- ➤ Fulton County will host a virtual public hearing on August 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for residents to learn about a proposed 5% water and sewer rate increase — funds that will support the revised Capital Improvement Program and upgrades to the Camp Creek Water Reclamation Facility in South Fulton — and to submit written comments.
