CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ At its June 18 meeting, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved $1.3 million in funding for the Department of Arts and Culture’s FY2025 Contract for Services program to support 159 nonprofit groups, art organizations, and individual artists delivering community arts events across the county in 2025+the awards range from $1,000 to $16,000 with applications for the next cycle opening in November. - ➤ The Georgia Department of Transportation announced that overnight lane closures will begin Sunday, July 20 on SR 400 for the Express Lanes project, with one-lane and shoulder closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. until Friday, July 25 — drivers should expect delays along the road between MARTA’s North Springs Station and one mile north of McFarland Parkway.
