🏘️ Community
Fulton County Animal Services is overcrowded by more than 73 dogs over its target capacity after a court-related intake added 24 dogs in one day; staff say urgent adoptions and fosters are needed to prevent euthanasia.
The shelter has waived adoption fees through Thursday— and will offer free adoptions on Fridays starting June 6 to help manage the crisis.
🏛️ Government
The City of Roswell previewed proposed rules for short-term vacation rentals at a city council meeting on May 27 at City Hall, which required rental operators to register and undergo inspections.
A second reading will take place on June 9 and if adopted the ordinance will update code language on executive roles and take effect on Jan. 1, 2026.

Stacker released a ranking of the highest-rated Class of 2025 football recruits from Georgia using 247Sports data (this list includes top talent from schools like Georgia and Tennessee).
The ranking shows that recruits from local and regional schools are expected to shape college football in upcoming seasons.
