- ➤ AAA expects 45.1 million people to travel nationwide this Memorial Day weekend, including 1.38 million in Georgia, while TSA at Atlanta airport plans for over 2.6 million passengers despite a new parking deck construction. INRIX says Friday (May 23rd) will be busy from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., today (from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.) shows heavy traffic, Sunday (May 25th) from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Monday (May 26th) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and AAA lists Georgia gas at $2.93 per gallon compared to a national average of $3.19.
