- ➤ Bridge to Grace Covenant Church has invited community women to join a one-day spiritual retreat on May 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pastor Meghan Bruggeman will lead the event at 2385 Holcomb Bridge Road—registration costs $50 and check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. Appen Media
- ➤ Today, Roswell is lighting City Hall, the monument at Roswell Square—and other city facilities red to honor fallen Firefighter John Kevin Cash, who died in January 2020 during duty. City officials have urged residents and businesses to join the tribute as part of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s campaign, which will run until May 4 and lead into the Memorial Weekend on May 3 and 4. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Roswell announced it is preparing to issue $93.4 million in bonds to complete transformational projects after voters approved funding in November 2022 for improvements in parks, sidewalks and public safety. The bonds will close in July to finance projects such as park renovations, a new fire station and expanded bike paths — investments estimated to add about $69 per year to property taxes. WSB-TV
