Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 29th of April.
Good morning, Roswell.
📰 Economy
Gas prices in Georgia have barely changed from last week, with the average now at $2.91 per gallon for regular gasoline — this marks a 49-cent drop from last year that saves drivers nearly $8 on a full tank.
Experts say warmer weather and increased travel later this week may prompt a slight rise in prices.
🏛️ Government
Governor Brian Kemp signed Alyssa’s Law on Monday—requiring schools to update mapping and install silent panic alarms that alert 911 immediately—to reduce emergency response times.
The law is named to honor Alyssa Alhadeff, a victim of a 2018 school shooting.
