Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 28th of March.
Good morning, Roswell.
The U.S. Forest Service announced a campfire ban in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest on March 27th due to high wildfire risk from dry, windy conditions — officials urged metro Atlanta residents and those in Rabun, White and Floyd counties, as well as nearby areas in the Carolinas, to avoid outdoor burning.
Today, a bill to restrict booting in parking lots passed the Senate with a 48-3 vote and will go to the House for a vote.
The law would stop booters from patrolling lots and ban kickback payments to landlords (placing them under the same rules as tow companies) and is aimed at ending predatory practices (which have grown in recent years).
