- ➤ The Georgia House passed Senate Bill 241 today that would allow human remains to be composted instead of being buried or cremated—adding safeguards for proper handling and record-keeping. Governor Kemp will review the bill, and if approved, it will take effect on July 1. WSB-TV
- ➤ Georgia's highest court is reviewing whether a judge was right in blocking seven rules set by the State Election Board before last year's election—lawyers disagree over whether the board acted within its power—and will announce its decision in the coming months. FOX 5 Atlanta
- ➤ The Roswell Planning Commission approved the Riverwalk II/Vickery Bluff preliminary plat at 1200 Old Alabama Road on March 18—modifying driveway lengths, one-way alley safety, and balcony overhangs after discussion. The board deferred a preliminary plan for the Grand Reserve at Litchfield Phase 4 on 926 Old Chadwick Lane after the applicant requested changes to meet GDOT safety requirements and will review the code on April 15.
