- ➤ More than 38,500 Georgians did not file 2021 tax returns and may miss out on an estimated $33,515,300 in refunds, with a median refund of $720. The IRS warned that if taxpayers have not filed their 2022 or 2023 returns and have unpaid federal debts, the 2021 refunds may be used to cover those debts—Georgians must file by April 15 to claim their money. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Georgia lawmakers passed a committee vote on the DOGE bill today that will require most state agencies to audit themselves and report on how their rules affect small businesses — the bill will move to a full House vote amid criticism that it adds extra burdens to understaffed agencies while supporters say it will streamline government. - ➤ The Roswell Development Authority confirmed on March 18 that the Wellstar Bond—estimated at not more than $100 million—will return to the mayor and city council on March 24. The bond process will close in April once the final sign offs are completed and city assets remain secure. Appen Media
