About this event

Emil Thomas Entertainment Presents

Whitney, Luther & Friends

Whitney, Luther & Friends returns with the music, voices, and energy that have made the musical revue a favorite with Marietta audiences.

Built around the unforgettable music of Whitney Houston and Luther Vandross , the show celebrates two of the greatest voices in R&B while bringing along some of the legendary artists who defined the music of their generation. From powerhouse ballads and timeless love songs to the music that gets you out of your seat, Whitney, Luther & Friends is an evening filled with familiar favorites, powerful vocals, movement, and the sound of R&B across generations.

The production also holds a special place in the history of the Sage Ensemble . Whitney, Luther & Friends was the first production created for the ensemble, bringing together standout performers who had shared the stage in productions at Marietta’s Theatre in the Square. Created and directed by Emil Thomas, the Sage Ensemble was formed to give these artists a space to come together beyond traditional musical theatre and create original musical revues and live performance experiences.

Since its first performance, Whitney, Luther & Friends has returned to audiences in Marietta, growing into one of the signature productions of the Sage Ensemble.

At the center of it all is the music—the songs you remember, the songs you love, and the voices that made a generation fall in love with R&B.

Whitney, Luther & Friends is a celebration of great music, great singers, and the artists whose songs continue to bring us together.
