Raqs Noir! Choreography

About this event

Raqs Sharqi × Dark Fusion Step into the shadows with Faaridah's Raqs Noir, a 8-week choreography experience blending the elegance and expressive movement of Egyptian Raqs Sharqi with the dramatic, stylized edge of Dark Fusion. Fusion is at the heart of Atlanta Fusion Belly Dance making this choreography a return to the artistic style that helped shape the studio from the beginning. Expect a dynamic blend of traditional Egyptian technique and creative fusion stylization, with plenty of shimmies, isolations, undulations, and traveling combinations. Designed for intermediate dancers, but open to anyone with some belly dance experience who is ready to learn, grow, and perform. Over 8 weeks, we’ll build the full choreography and bring it to the stage at the Shimmies & Snowflakes Holiday Show on Saturday, December 12! (No class Thanksgiving Day)
