Checkmate Champs chess club

About this event

Checkmate Champs is a free, student-led chess program for anyone interested in learning and improving their chess skills. Each session will include short lessons on chess strategies and tactics, guided practice, puzzles, and games. The program is designed to welcome beginners while also giving those who already know how to play an opportunity to continue developing their skills. Chess boards and other materials will be provided, and students will have opportunities to learn, practice, and play with other participants. Attendees 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Attendees 15 and under must be registered by a parent online or at the event. A sign-in sheet will be available. Online registration is recommended but not required.
