About this event

"Grief expressed out loud, whether in or out of character, unchoreographed and honest, for someone we have lost, or a country or home we have lost, is in itself the greatest praise we could ever give them. Grief is praise, because it is the natural way love honors what it misses."

- Martin Prechtel, from The Smell of Rain on Dust

The experience of grief and gratitude often transcends words. Movement, sound-making, and stillness, alongside personal storytelling, allow greater access to how these sensations want to move through us. Sharing grief and loss, as well as joy and gratitude in creative community, can expand and enrich our lives in generative ways.

InterPlay is an incremental, improvisational, expressive arts system that creates access to individual and group body wisdom. It is easy and accessible- you don’t need to be a performer or artist to participate. You are invited to show up in your full and complicated humanity as well as your transcendent self, and express yourself in ways that are meaningful to you. All bodies are welcome and enough.

Led by Jennifer
